Geography has many different kind of meaning. “Geography” is the word that ancient Greek created from “ge” means Earth and “grapho” means for “to write” is also means a word call “Eratosthenes” (276-194B.C.).Basic meaning of geography is the memorization of place names, but there are still many meaning for geography. There are 5 kinds of geographies include landscapes, mountains, climates, rivers, and people among others. Geography is concerned with where and why things are located as they are. It concerned with the patters and the process that created them.
Geography often described as two parts, which make up a whole. So, geography described by part 1 Regional Geography, and part 2 Topical, or Systematic Geography. Regional Geography focuses on the areas of Earth space that have degree of homogeneity. Regions can be physical, human or combination of both. Topical, or Systematic Geography includes studies climate, landforms, economics, and culture among others. There are many people study geography they may call themselves biogeographers, political geographers…. They study their own subject.
